I've spoken to a tuner in california who will put together a complete twin turbo kit for the sc400 for $6000~$7000 installed minus engine management. They just don't have time to R&D a not-so-popluar upgrades. As they said all the hot and cold parts produced and isntalled with NO ENGINE MANAGEMENT. I rather have this twin turbo system over supercharger system. They will not install compression lowering head gaskets. What are my options at this point?

 

No engine management means they will run FMU. FMU will be good up to the max of the stock injectors. Which is about 325 rwhp. 8 intercooler psi will do it. You have to ask them a very critical question. Where are turbos located? Low Mount? Stay away...... Normal mount. Ask them what do u have to loose? Always a trade of. Other than low mount or loose few luxury options, otherwise its almost impossible to have a TT in a SC. Unless you dont plan to lower your car, it possible, but not effecient.

Honestly speaking, unless you are willing to make some compromises, otherwise TT will not work. Been there done that. Supercharging is the only way to go. Why? ROOM. No room for the V8. However, supercharging is possible, either root style, twin screw or centifugal. All three had been done and three potential kits are coming out.

I think the biggest difference between those three kits will be intercooling.

Ah, brings to mind the controversy again. Anyways, remember to keep in mind how the turbo timers will be setup as well.
