Default Poorsupra's build thread

well ive had my lex for about 2 years now. i bought it bone stock. 93 sc400.

first thing i did was paint the chrome window trim, replaced the cats, replaced the passenger window motor/inner door hadue ndle.

blacked the emblems and ALL red diy tails

vertex rep kit, xxr 006's, and megan 32way track c/o's, and window visors

blacked the housings, rear window visor, and 25mm wheel spacers, rolled fenders

blacked out rear tails, oh and my own custom 2.25" 3rd cat delete/ straight pipe 3.5" tips

traded my 006 with kumhos straight up for these. brand new!!!

got a BBK for 20$ some paint and were golden

due to being super low with the 006's and no spacers a while back my kit was pretty banged up. so i decided to try my hand at some fiberglass work, i scraped a hole on my front bumper on both sides, broke both side skirts and decided to go against the grain and go single exit exhaust. oh got a deal on soarer badges F/R. decided to take my wing off(getting a wingless one in a few days) ditched my acrylic rear visor in favor or a megan one. got some 97 tails, painted the inner edges black.

since i was fiberlassing everything decided to go with the intrepid foglights, JDM side indicators, griffin badge, 97 grill, and a fresh coat of high solids black on everything, smoked high beams. HID's have been installed for many moons.

picked this up for 45$

R154 swap!
got this for 200$ plus a w58 i had from a junkyard.
stage 4 clutch(room to grow ). toyotav8 flywheel. etc

modded the r154 crossmember

mk3 pedal(pita but 20$ made it worth it!)

got this injen intake from the junkyard 15.99

custom adapter

diy needle led also backlighting was redone and i put electrical tape over the auto shizz

uploading the pics to photobucket now. will update shortly.

Nice build thread, how much was the driveshaft to diff adapter and where did you get that?
Because i was thinking of using the r154 mated with the sc300, but since my r154 is stuck in the trunk i have yet to do any measurements to see if this combo will even work

It looks to be a complete r154 DS? My r154 is ready to go in now too, but installed headers and need to make a gasket for the header to cats, then the r154 is ready to go in. It should be fun.
Btw, did i mention that i like this build thread?
Keep it up

i had the shop use the r154 yolk, and rear flange, new 1pc steel shaft. the adapter has a centering issue on the diff flange, slight redesign on the adapter and itll be centered on the centering dowel on the diff flange, and the 3 bolts will just hold it tight in place. should solve the issue.

Wow. What a humble beginning! Are you planning on heat shielding the Injen intake?

Man, not a bad way to start out the SC in a few years time frame. The R154 mod is getting so popular now in these cars. So bye bye to the W58.. Just think in the next few years, the R154 will be gone and everyone will be using the V160's...

Love your build man! Are your lowbeam and high beam housings painted black? Or are they just smoked?
