Quote: the market of the ms6 is just not there at all, the cars are not that popular so they are hard to get rid of. Not to mention with they make poop for power with bolt ons compared to other car such as the evo and sti. It took my friend almost a year to unload his and my other friend has had issue after issue trying to make big power with a turbo kit.

i did the exact same thing you did and got rid of a newer car for my sc, went from an 08 turbo cobalt to a 95 sc. Not having a car payment and high insurance allows for me to maintain the older car and pay for gas mods etc. I would try to find a clean one if possible, mine is in pretty decent shape, with minor things here and there.

hopefully you don't owe too much on the ms6 and you could get rid of it pretty easily.
Thanks, this is more of the situation I am going for. I was considering trying to find a clean sc at a small dealership for around 5,000 and trade my car in. I am 1,500-2,000 upside down on my Mazda currently. It is not a terribly high amount, but enough that I can not get rid of Mazda at the drop of a hat. Hearing that someone else has been in the same situation I am in now, and that you are happy with the way things turned out is motivation in itself to make this happen. This is another reason I want to come over to the Lexus scene. Most everyone here is very helpful and inviting, my wife owns a is350 and the service she receives at the local Lexus dealership is awesome. Even the fact that at any time she can take her car in get a FREE car wash and have a refreshment while she waits. Thanks again for all the help!!!

My car is originally a US car (Phoenix) so I dont need to re-import it back to the US. I would just give it to you and you drive away. I'd have to import your Mazda to Canada though, which I dont mind doing. PM me if you're serious. I dont know how serious I'd be about it, but who knows, might just happen.. lol

Sell the Mazda, and you'll have enough money for an SC + money leftover for mods.
You'll never be happier; theres no other car like ours.

Yes I am a lot happier, don't have all that stress anymore, in a car with a platform that has endless possibilities. When talking to friends who have mild to wild builds, I noticed one thing none of them had car payments, which made total sense. I got truly fed up with my car even after I built the motor, it just felt like I was constantly putting money into it for nonsense. I tried to sell that thing for almost a year no bites and I eventually got fed up parted it out and went to Carmax.

I love my sc so far, love getting in and just being able to drive lol. It's not loud and annoying or vibrations out the *** (blame my balance shaft delete for that lol). I could have found a cleaner one / newer probably if I were more patient, but overall my 95 is in good shape and I really wanted a dwp one as well.

But I would say do it if you want to, seems like you are ready to part ways with the Mazda and the sooner the better, every extra mile is an extra dollar you won't get for that car.

Yeah I am ready to move on. I don't want to go crazy on a build, more like a clean stanced cruiser with a really throaty exhaust(v8), maybe a manual swap. I just don't know if I will get what I owe if I go to carmax and same with private sale. I like what scENFORCER has to say. I guess only one way to find out. Thanks sr71b you give me motivation to push and see if I can get away from mazda. As opposed to staying unhappy and settling. Thanks for all the help everyone.

dont put any money into a car you dont absolutly love. by saying this i dont think you should spend money on a car to try to make it something it isent. Honestly if a lexus is maintained right, and properally, it will out last the mazda even being older and all the jazz. but it will be worse of gas, but youll have a much faster car and a car you can mod hope this helped.

i say keep the mazda 6. the sc is a great car but the mazda will be a bit easier to mod being that it already has a turbo.
