Default removing resonator(s)?

i tried doing a search, but only came up with some es300 threads and very vague statements regarding sc resonators. im just looking to add some sound to my car, i dont care about any hp gains or low end torque loss (unless its more than about 5lb/ft). is the intake resonator located inside the driver's side front wheel well? can anybody help me with some directions for removing this, and has anybody done this before? what about removing the exhaust resonators? i believe i read that there are 2 of them, how could i go about removing those, and what kind of hp/torque loss/gain could i expect from that? what about noise increase compared to just removing the intake resonator?

btw, my sc4 is a 96 if that makes any difference.

i'm not too sure what you mean by intake resonators.

but as for exhaust resonators, yes you have 2. they act as baffles to quiet down the excaust a little. they are right before the actual mufflers. they will increase the noise a little but not much. to remove it you have to get all new pipes ran which can run anywhere from 100-200 dollars

If you are in the US/US Car. Then your intake resonator is in the passenger side front wheel well. You have to remove the wheel and then remove the wheel well covers. You then should have access to it. If you are going for only sound, intake is your best bet. Most people turn straight to exhausts, but if you have a nice intake the sound is just great! If you go for a K&N type cone filter, you don't even need to remove your resonator.

I have posted this before but I understand not everyone reads all the threads.

Do yourself a HUGH favor and completely read Peter Scotts site starting here:
