Your very first impression the first time you ever met an SC

A red one drove by me on the road in Austin Texas up near Lakeway about 4 or 5 years ago.
Lowered, nice rims, sleek body kit, HID's, and it was an SC400.
I didn't know Lexus made a sports coupe like that until then and ever since I had always wanted one just from seeing it on the road. 2 years ago I was in an accident and had to buy a new car. Had about 8,000 to buy with and was looking at all sorts of cars. MY friend is a big gear head and I asked him about the Lexus SC, and I regret to this day listenin to his advice. He was talking out of his *** and instead of telling me he didn't know he told me they weren't reliable and were very expensive to maintain... so I bought a 2000 BMW 5 series instead.
If any car could be described as unreliable and expensive to maintain it was my 5 series. Althought I don't regret the time I spent with it. I couldn't afford a mechanic, so I had to learn to work on it myself, and had to buy parts and replace them before they broke to avoid catastrophic failure. Pretty much had no money for two years. And then like a **** magnet who attracts bad drivers my car was totalled, I was pretty broken up about it as I had put a lot into the 5 series, but in the back of my mind I kept thinking about the SC I had seen all of those years ago. For 3 months I rode my bike to work while waiting for the perfect car before I purchased. And wouldn't you know it, a black 5speed SC300 pops up on Craigslist. I hauled *** over there, looked at it that day and bought it. Been driving it and happily in love ever since.

The SC has the unique quality of making people feel good upon seeing one. The first time I saw one on the road I was in awe of the natural beauty of the graceful design - definitely "Poetry in Motion!"
I have been approached many times by strangers complimenting and asking questions about my "bordello pearl" Lexus SC. It is rewarding to share in the sense of pride of the SC!

i was about 10 years old, the new Lexus GS300 second gen with GS400 Tiptronic at the time released. I saw the SC300/400 in the showroom, i immediately told my dad GET IT!!! I WANT IT NOW!!! he pinched me so i ****. through the years i just kept reading about it and seeing SO many on the streets. i have to say, the last four years the SC has been revived. i see a lot more on the street than i ever did growing up after highschool and what not. anyways, now im a proud owner of a 93 sc 5speed original. boy did it cost a lot to put it the way i want it, and stiill working on it. it was more than enough to buy a brand new camry or a few payments short on a is250.
