I got done with the 1jz swap into my 98 sc300 and it idled fine when I started it a couple times. Then went for a drive and it ran like crap, back firing all the way. When we got back it was spiting and sputtering. And had an inconsistent idle. No CEL but jumped it and showed CEL 12. From my understanding this is no RPM to ECU. Any suggestions?

 

Anyone please. How do you check to see if your coil packs are bad?

 

If anyone is interested CEL 12 is linked to cam and crank sensors. Or in my case the car was idling so low it threw the code.
