I think it has already been established that these have been discontinued...at least by the quality, reputable companies.

Are there any reputable companies that make headlights for the sc? Or am I stuck refinishing, or buying a new oem set?

It has been my understanding that our only options are to refinish them yourselves (or have professionally done), or purchase a new OEM set.

There are eBay alternatives available but the quality and fitment are suspect not to mention their longevity. I had a friend who ordered similar for his 240SX and was thoroughly disappointed in the craftsmanship. It looked and felt cheap...but it was...CHEAP.

What *I* would be curious to know is whether there was ever a difference in the USDM versus the JDM headlight units aside from the fact that one was LHD biased and the other RHD biased. Were these of impact resistant plastic or glass?

Would be cool to see some paint-matched headlights, like the honda fit, ferrari 360 modena, etc

I would personally like to distinguish myself from every Honda fanboy out there doing this mod. And, the fact that you used the Honda Fit and the Ferrari 360 Modena in the same sentence for comparison purposes would have Enzo Ferrari rolling over in his grave.

Having taken apart both types, I found the lenses to be the same. The housings were a bit different though, there being no bubble levels in the JDM version.

I think JDM headlights use 9006J bulbs instead of 9006 which are different.

Yeap that^^^^ Gotta modify a 9005 bulb to make it fit. Currently doing that right now.
