best street single set-up.....
so anybody running a map-ecu that can give me some feedback on its performance and reliability? could this possibly be an good option for me besides dishing out standalone money?
Map-Ecu isn't a good option since the 1J is already map based. I made over 500 with the emanage blue, daily driven. I would recommend the AEM FIC as a better tuning solution.
Ding, ding, ding!
WE have a winner!
It has the most important feature for any piggyback, The ability to retard timing.
When you pull out fuel with a SAFC, the OEM ECU respond by adding timing, usually to a dangerous level.
The FIC can clamp timing, and has a ton of fuel table cells anywhere from 0-100% throttle.
That and slap a S362 on it, you will love life! The noises those things make!
