If you have any electrical experience, you might want to consider removing the fan altogether and installing an electrical fan set up.

Your upper radiator hose looks like it has duct tape holding a crack closed. If this "tape" fails, you'll have coolant pissing all over the place. If you lose to much coolant the engine will overheat and you will possible crack your head gasket. Hoses are cheap, replacing your head gasket will cost a lot of $$$. You can find a hose online or order one from an auto parts store.
ohhhhh i see lol. i found a fan shroud only at (******************.com) for like $40

i see the problem with the hose i found it at the same website for around $15

Do a google search for the best option...one way would be lacquer thinner, but that would take a long time.

Y'know, most of the things you listed are signs that the car wasn't maintained and that there was no pride of ownership. Unless you bought it specifically as a project, that might be okay. However, trying to be ballin' on a budget almost never works. You'll end up spending more money trying to restore the car than you would have if you had just bought a clean example in the first place. And, often times, your car STILL won't be in the same condition as a clean example.

Good luck either way, I guess.

On the subject of cooling, the fan clutch system on Toyota I6 engines is VERY efficient, and most of the time, will provide better cooling than electric fans.

That console reminds me of the first SC I bought 5 years ago. Poor thing had the ***** ripped out of the center, and it looked like a line out of that Taylor Swift song, when she takes a razor or something to the guy's seats.

Wow... It does have potential, though. All depends on your level of patience and perseverance.

This your first SC?
