Drive train loss >>>>>>>
Just a thought ........I have been looking around and see that the SC cars especially the SC400 has what looks like a large drive train loss when dynoed. I thought I remember reading that the new BMW E46 M3's could not be accurately dynoed and showed lower numbers too, because when the ECU senses that the front wheels are not moving and that the rear wheels are, then it limits the power or something like that. Could it be that the SC's have some kind of feature to this too ?? I mean if you do the math average weight for the SC400 3600 pounds divided by 250crank hp = 14.4 pounds per HP, the car can do 0-60 times of about high 6's to low 7's second. Other cars that can do this have about the same weight to HP ratio. I believe that the new Nissan Altima automatic tranny weighs about 3350 pounds divide that by the 240crank hp and you get = 13.95 or about 14 pounds per HP, I also think I read on one of the magazines that say the automatic Altima car does 0-60 in the high 6's to low 7's. Like I said this is just a thought. Let me know what all of you think. God Bless.
