Default steering issue

ok so i just bought a 92 sc400 and i am a mechanic and was just curious if this is a common problem with these. ive noticed that after i preformed a very well needed wheel alighnment i noticed after turning to either side that thats the way my steering wheel would stay. i havent had a chance to get it back on the lift to see if the rack bushings are bad or ???

Yes. Bushings are likely bad. Also check the ventilation hoses if they're good. Plenty of info around about these.
