damn that looks brand new!
what process did you use? |
looks good, im also restoring headlights, but my seal around the light, or whatever it is, is all mangled, so it has to be re-done and i figure i may as well do the inside and projector lenses, because thats where i think my light is getting all distorted.

Nice job! Looks just as good as new
|

I used 3M wet sandpaper from auto zone. 400,800,1000, and skipped to 2000.I used some Poor Boy's SSR1 polished with my porter cable on a orange foam pad.Start wet sanding with the 400 and work your way up. Thanks everyone. |
Looks so much clearer, did you have to using anything to coat/protect after sanding?
|
You should use something to seal it once you are done. After sanding down the yellowed exterior they will just yellow again unless you seal the lens
|
Yep, spent hours sanding mine last year. I only used wax to seal and they are completely yellow again. Anyone have a professional "over the counter" sealant that works well for these headlights.
