Default Just wanted to share my cleaned headlights

I started sanding and polishing my headlights and I'm done with the first headlight.Hope you guys like it.

Nice, did you take it apart or just do the outside?

looks good, im also restoring headlights, but my seal around the light, or whatever it is, is all mangled, so it has to be re-done and i figure i may as well do the inside and projector lenses, because thats where i think my light is getting all distorted.

Damn whhat a difference , what type of sand paper and polishing material did you use if you don't mind me asking

I used 3M wet sandpaper from auto zone. 400,800,1000, and skipped to 2000.I used some Poor Boy's SSR1 polished with my porter cable on a orange foam pad.Start wet sanding with the 400 and work your way up.

Looks so much clearer, did you have to using anything to coat/protect after sanding?

You should use something to seal it once you are done. After sanding down the yellowed exterior they will just yellow again unless you seal the lens

Yep, spent hours sanding mine last year. I only used wax to seal and they are completely yellow again. Anyone have a professional "over the counter" sealant that works well for these headlights.
