New Owner - 1996 SC400 White
Hey,
New owner checking in. Looking to restore this SC400 back to glory. I picked up a set of iforged 3 piece wheels in 18x9.5 +20 and 18x10.5 +40. i will be placing an order for coilovers soon, either BC racing or Blitz ZZ-R for the MK4 supra. Can someone recommend spring rates for the BC? mostly daily driver, but will probably be on the lower side, just want to make sure it doesn't bottom out on bumps because the springs are to soft. i'll be picking up from the shop today where the old tint is being removed and new tint on all 5 windows will be applied.
i really wanted the Vertex lip kit, but it appears the front lip and possibly rear lip have been discontinued. this was verified in email from a vertex rep. are there any vendors / forum sponsors that can order the Auto Couture full kit? that would be my next preference.
i've been into motorcycles for the lat 10-12 years, but had a nicely modified mr2 turbo before then. it's nice to have a sporty car again and i have always liked the lines of the sc3/400. attached some pics so this isn't just some boring hello thread. pics of the SC400, the new wheels waiting to go on, my old MR2 with full roll cage, full suspension, gt35r turbo, full exhaust, etc..., and my custom retro styled Ducati Supersport S

Welcome to CL, nice toys you have there. Those wheels are spot on and will look great on the SC. I have no input on the coils spring rates.
Check out APT, a body kit vendor here on the this site he has poly Vertex and Auto couture kits for the SC.
Good luck with your build.

Quick question, is APT and KBD the same company?

Hey guys!
I have a 1995 sc300 that I currently daily. It needs much love but I look forward to working on it and getting further into learning about this platform/possibilities from you all. She's still kicking at 290k miles and i have a list of things to get a baseline.
Thanks!

New Member! 1998 Sc400 VVT-I
Hey Everybody! Super stoked to have such a vast and helpful community like this. I recently purchased a 1998 SC400 after looking for the right one for about 2 years now. Absolutely loving it so far.
If you want to follow my planned build, it's called "Andrew's '98 SC400 VVT-I Build". I'm a kid in college during the school year so during those months, the build progress will be slow. But over summer I plan on doing a lot of upgrades and mods. I'm going for a resto-mod tuner kind of vibe. Old but new. Subtle but with new touches and details. Looks relatively stock to the untrained eye.
Something different that I think will turn out great!
Thanks for looking!

Glad to be here
Hi all, I'm a new enrollee. I have a very nice dark red 1997 SC400 with 78,000 miles. I've driven it from coast to coast several times, and think it is the best road car I've ever driven. It is getting to where I see fewer of these beautiful cars on the street anymore.

Hey Hey!
Hello to all the other lexus SC owners! We've had ours for about 4 years now and bought it from a listing on this site! Decided to join up after using it for a while to get info on the how-to's of owning the car. We've done a couple road trips here and there, lighthouse tour, and have even let somebody use it in a wedding! Still rides great every time. With the weather in the DC area taking a nice warm turn, we're looking for much more enjoyment as we can finally take her top off Looking forward to mixing with the community here.
Best,
-Nicholas
