Default clutch pedal question

So today I was installing my clutch pedal assembly, and noticed that there wasn't a hole, or nut where the bottom leg of the bracket bolts up, am I supposed to make a hole there too, I figured there should be a nut welded to the chassis there, anyone else run into this problem. My car is a 98 btw I dunno if it would make a difference

Yes you need to cut it out for both. I believe the main hole is 1" and a half and the other, just measure the bolt. Also should be a place where you see where to cut it in the firewall.

I don't mean the holes where the master come in, I mean the one that bolts to the firewall under those, about six inches down, and to the right
