So... I have another question (since I already started a thread sort of on topic, I may as well ask):

I said earlier that the inspiration for the wing and overall styling of my SC is rocketbunny/ RWB. The reality is that I'm mostly trying to style my car after RWB. In particular, this one http://vimeo.com/27967462 (probably one of my favourite cars of all time...)

I'm planning on getting SSR sp1's or Work Meisters and powdercoating them that color, and already have a red SC-- and funds permitting, I may get wider fenders as well.

My question is, what do people think of using other builders' cars as inspiration? It may become fairly obvious that I'm styling my car after the RWB 964 in the video, but would that be tacky? I'm not trying to pretend I have a real RWB car r anything, and I dont want a knock off either. It's not like I'm taking an existing SC kit (like the BN sports or something), and blatantly ripping it off. Is this something you would frown upon, or be like, 'hey, that looks pretty sweet'.

I know its up to me ultimately and other ppl's decisions shouldn't really influence me.. but just looking for some input on the topic. Thanks!

^^ Cool video. I don't think it's tacky to use a great car as an inspiration as long as you put your own twist into it.

yup. throw your own flare into it somewhere. make it your own. we all need inspiration when we are building our cars.

Seriously you bumpd this to say that? Get s14 one it kinda fits the conture and you can have it modified to fit. Wise sport and 94 style are the best imo.

I've always wanted to do this. So far my favorite spoilers are the stock pre-97 and the origin deck lid spoiler.
