The previous owner of my car did some jacked up **** to the stock harness...so I ripped it out and bought a mint condition stock radio harness. Now on the big clear box with the colored plugs (green, orange, etc) there is a brown plug. The original harness did not have a brown plug and I don't have anything to plug into it.

What is the brown plug for? Is it for the automatic trans? or am I completely missing something important?

 

what year is your car, did it have a nakamichi radio or pioneer? you may have gotten a wrong harness.

 

I have a 92. Pioneer radio. Everything else plugs in except this one empty plug
