So I called this person 5 times, and all I'm getting is the dial-up internet noise on the other end.

I knew something like this was too good to be true. Still hoping to get a hold of em..

Idk bout you guys, but IMO checking the carfax really doesn't mean much, especially with older vehicles. I found one that had a spotless carfax, but when I saw it in person it looked like a junkyard car (being sold by a dealer mind you). What I'm trying to say is, don't rely on carfax, just do a thorough test and inspection yourself.

Well the ad does mention full 2000 body panels, so they're not hiding it.

Idk know why people try to get other people to Hold cars. Why would a seller want to hold a car for somebody that may or may not buy their car. Unless you are planing on putting a nonrefundable deposit down or something.

this is very true... imo it is safer and free to inspect the car urself... carfax only reports what has been reported to them. countless amount of ppl crash and never claim it to there insurance or even call the police for that matter.

I totally agree i work at a used car dealership carfax dont mean anything. I detail and fix little things on the car and get to see first hand lots of clean carfax cars with paint work and hidden damage. u gotta see the car for yourself. my sc has a clean carfax but it sure does have hiden front end damage. who knows maybe the person just doesnt know what they really have.

My friend original owner sold his burgundy SC for $2500, not as shiny as that but the car was immaculate everywhere else. In this case, that car advertised does seem too good to be true, Do all your research prior to purchasing, take a test drive, and ask the owner can you schedule and pay for an inspection. Tell them you choose the mechanic, you pay, they drive in & out, you pick up report.

Hope we all are lending some good info.

You guys gave me a lot of great info! The only problem is..I never got a hold of her. She never responded to the email, the phone calls just so straight to the internet dial-up noise, and she never called back.

:/

^Most likely. It sucks, but whatever, I digress.

If I get a job this month or next, I'm thinking of leasing a car..

What he said. Also if youre in the boat for one ...mmm ill pm .

but yea this is definitely fake. regardless of the shape of the car, I dont think anyone would sell a car with a unit thats worth 1/5th the value of the listed car without mentioning removing it for a lower cost
