But honestly, it's going to be hard as hell to find one. Just keep looking. Craigslist, Club Lexus, post a WTB thread.

exactly... i happen to have a green (one year color) 5 speed 97 HARD TOP, re painted by lexus and fully dealership maintained (FULLY) 1 owner

As exclusive as they are, you can build the equivalent of one with the exception of the different dash/airbag and the instrument cluster. Not that doing a conversion (and partial restoration) is cheap but neither is buying a 97 SC 5-speed.

However, if what you honestly want is a real one it is going to be difficult though not impossible.
