Where to FInd 97 5spd SC

But honestly, it's going to be hard as hell to find one. Just keep looking. Craigslist, Club Lexus, post a WTB thread.

Try craislist,autotrader and keep looking in the class. Thats a hard one for sure.

As exclusive as they are, you can build the equivalent of one with the exception of the different dash/airbag and the instrument cluster. Not that doing a conversion (and partial restoration) is cheap but neither is buying a 97 SC 5-speed.

However, if what you honestly want is a real one it is going to be difficult though not impossible.

Well it's gonna be awfully hard to find the EXACT one you like.. you're going to have to take the loss on something (exterior color, interior color, mileage, etc.). People just don't sell these left and right and when they do, you pay a hefty price for them. That's a pretty reasonable priced SC given the mileage and condition.

Thats actually what I'm going to do. I already have a member in mind, he posts on here regularly. Its a white '97 5 speed, and I'll offer whatever it takes (reasonable price of course) to get that car.

The only legit way to find a '97 5spd with ease would be to travel back in time to the year 1997 and just buy it brand new from the dealership...Be sure to earn a large sum of money by traveling back slowly year by year and by betting on sporting events to which you already know the outcome of.

Yeah, but the SC he's looking for won't be brand new. ;)

so why not just get a decent sc300, do a front end conversion, and manual tranny swap... or engine swap entirely. it would still be the same price!

Yup. I'm in Abbotsford, but I'm out in Van/Burnaby all the time. There's only one soarer in Abbotsford that I can think of right now, so this car is getting a lot of attention:cool:

We kinda let this run for a minute, but it's found it's way towards a WTB thread with the offerings provided. To be fair to others using the proper forum for their WTB and after this has ran it's course before heading towards classified status with cars being posted in it that are for sale, this thread is dunski.
