Just recently picked up a JDM 2JZGTE from a local seller for pretty cheap. Of course since it was cheap there had to be some draw backs. It was missing the crankshaft, stock turbos, intake manifold, and the main caps. I am planning on swapping it into my SC300 since the engine seized up and I was planning on just using the crank (if the crank is still great) from that since I know it is interchangeable, but I was wondering if the main caps from my GE are also interchangeable with the GTE block. I was told that the main caps would not sit right and that the main caps are machined specifically for each block.
