Dumb thought but 95 taillights painted like 97+

Has anyone ever done this? I've seen people black out the silver trim in the 97+ but has anyone ever try to black out the pre 97 taillights to the 97+ design?

Elaborate more? There is a thread about combining 95-96 internal with 97+ lens but I'm not quite sure on what you mean.
