How much Type I-V fluid do I need??

Default How much Type I-V fluid do I need??

Im taking the day off tomarrow to change my converter. I was going to stop at Toyota on the way home to get my trans fluid. Can any of you guys tell me how much I will need, so I don't over or under buy it. Thanks!!!

Well the total capacity is 8 quarts, which is 2 gallons abouts. If you're changing the converter you'll probably need a complete refill. When you only drain the fluid at the pan, you only take out around 2 quarts.

If you're going to install the trans cooler get another gallon. You'll need a little extra...

Correct. Exact figure is 8.2 liters.
