The removal of the interior is pretty straight forward. Just take your time and just remember to take your time and prep everything. The SEM paint will do the rest as long as the temperature is 70 plus and zero moisture in the air. If you spray with moisture, it will turn out cloudy. GL.

How did painting of the speaker grill fabric turn out?

The only thing that I can't remove is the rear oh shnap handles. The screws won't budge no matter what method I use. I stripped two of them so I'm just going to drill them out or something.

Not trying to thread jack.. while we are on the subject - - -Do I have to remove the entire dash in order to swap my center vent? Im replacing my center vent and the right side vent. That center vent removal looks tricky

How does that paint hold up on your dash when it sits in the sun? Any bubbling or did it stick good? How long do you think it will last? And did you sand the dash slightly?

Hi Food7373, the dye seems to be holding up good, it is a SEM product and it isn't the cheapest. My car is kept inside 90% of the time so I can't really tell you if it will see any problems. SO far so good though and yes i used a grey scotch pad.

Thanks man, I will see if I can find a black dash, if not, I will most likely use what you used. Thanks for doing a DIY on this! Great job!

Could you give me a rough estimate on what it would cost to dye my entire interior jet black with some orange accents? All tan with the wood accents. Leather seats all around, tan dash etc

im also doing this to my soarer, started well over a year ago. (besides this im also fixing a hundred other things)

this is what my doorcards look like now. was a lot of work because they were broken on many areas and had to glue, glass and recreate mounting points.

i recommend using new speaker cloths for all the grilles. its very cheap and easy to install and makes a world of difference compared to those old and ugly fabrics.
