Default Front Lower Control Arm Problem

Hey guys, I got into an accident not too long ago. Long story short, my front lower control arm ball joint on the driver side gave out while I was driving my SC. I don't have the money to buy a brand new one and wouldn't pay that much for a part either, knowing how much it is. So, what I did was just buy FLCA from a local pick-your-parts shop, and just changed the bushings to poly's since I was doing it anyways, I saw everything taken apart from a wrecked SC, and the SC was a little bit tricked out, 2JZ engine and all that.

Now, ever since the fix, I've been having trouble finding what makes that grinding sound when I turn the wheel to the right. I haven't gotten an alignment since because I'm still gonna switch to poly's for my rear suspension bushings this coming Monday. And while I was browsing a little while ago at the Supra forums for sale threads, I saw FLCA for sale. Then, I realized, that the one thing that got my attention with the LCA I bought was that the holes along it's main frame was a little bit smaller than my OEM LCA, although I never had time to compare them side by side, so I'm not really sure. I remember some people here saying that the FLCA of a Supra can be used to our SC's also.

So I guess what I wanna ask is, how can we tell the difference between the 2? And does it matter in my situation if what I bought was from Supra that was just installed on an SC? Do I need to buy another one for my passenger side or both control arms match? Thanks in advance for the advice.

It only does the sound when the wheels are turned to the right. It sounds like a grinding noise like something is hitting something.

it's not because your alignment's off, making your tire hit something inside the wheel well on the driver side?

Aroddalob, I really hope that's the reason. I hope I bought the right LCA. Still, I need to find out if the Supra and SC LCA are physically the same and how to tell the difference just to be sure. But, if it's because it's out of alignment then not problem, 'cause like I said, on Monday I'm gonna finish my conversion of bushings to poly's for the whole rear suspension then I can finally get an alignment.
