If and when you go back to the muffler shop, try to take a pic of the underside of your car.

Also, would it have been possible to mount those mufflers any higher into the rear bumper?
a lot of my friends, have told me it sounds like a v8! inside cabin wise its not too loud? i am overly happy with this setup! and ya it can be mounted higher, im going back to get them pushed up a bit one side is a lot lower than the other. Also, i got a good deal on them if you want i can forward you to the people who helped me?

Finally, with the weekend coming to an end i went back to the muffler shop to finalize a couple dings and dats.. and finally i feel that i am happy with my final setup... I was going down the route of getting dual exhaust tips, but then again i kinda like this sleeper / stock look.. wont you agree?

final pictures.

and this is how they sit, i got them raised a bit, only draw back is someone clipped my bumper on the right so there's just a bit of gap for the muffler but it is what it is..

How's your power now with full 2.5" straight back to the mufflers? Did you lose any low end torque?

I looked at your flyby video tonight and it doesn't sound quite like a V8 because an I6 just isn't the same thing-- but it sure does sound aggressive. I like it. It's muted and deep and you can actually hear the engine. Not like many other cat-back systems.

If they can be had via mail order I'd love to know your source, thank you! What model Vibrants are these?

I like it, until it hits high rpms and gets buzzy. My car sounded the exact same with the rear cat deleted, and the mufflers hanging off for a second to see what it sounded like.

But thumbs up for doing something different, everyone has their own tastes.

Good, now get some new tires on the rear before you end up in the wall during a storm. ^_^
