Eventually, I want to get one of the more expensive alternators with 180 amps, but for now I need a regular one with 120 amps. Should I get a Pro-Start from Pepboys, a Duralast from Autozone, or an Ultima from O'Reilly? They're re-manufactured, have 120 amps, and barely fit into my budget right now (they're all $151.00)

So does anyone have an opinion on which is better?

 

just get whatever you can afford. they probably all come with a lifetime warranty.

 

Yeah, the three mentioned are most likely all the same. I was actually just advised to dabble in getting my current alt repaired so I'm getting some quotes on that right now.
