However, I'm glad you defended the usage of substitutes, Royal Purple is AMAZING. I've only used Royal Purple engine oil before but it was a great choice. I might actually go 1/2 Royal Purple and 1/2 T-IV.
I appreciate your input and realize now that maybe I was a little biased, but I;m a beginner in the Lexus realm and must ask as many competent questions as I can to feel comfortable with my knowledge. Thank you, and I was not offended by your last post at all. Thank you to everyone else too.

Just incase you ain't know, we get a discounted price by ordering to Lexus Sewell with our Club Lexus ID when we register. I've just ordered mine and its gonna arrive on Thurs, I bought the 12quarts pack for $52 something. It's cheaper that way rather than by quarts. Even the brake fluid cause I did a brake fluid flush when I changed to Goodridge SS brake lines, which is also one of my greatest investment on this car by far btw!

BTW 12 quarts you say? It really takes that much?... hmm, I wonder how much mine takes. I better order extra anyways, my fan fluid is low (just by a pinch but it's gotta be just right - hey, maybe I'll just change all of that too).

True true.
I might have to make a few trips across the street to the grocery store during the next week or two, but I'm going to be extremely careful, mine is practically BLACK.

First step is to drop the transmission pan and change the filter.
Second is to fill the pan with new fluid.
Third is to disconnect the transmission cooler line and run it into a container.
Fourth start the engine and have a friend tell you when new fluids runs out.
This process will remove almost all the old fluid. A simple drain and refill will only remove 50 percent.

$40? How many quarts did that get you? Did you have to go in person to get that price? I luckily have a Toyota dealer right across the street. The dealership that actually sells the new Toyota vehicles, they should have it right? I'll call right now...
