I agree with that welding idea. I just didnt know if anyone has done it and ran it for awhile with this motor. I was tossing the idea around. Now I am settled on not going to do it.

What about this motor and tranny. I called them yesterday and they told me they would sell me this motor and the R154 tranny for this price, not the W58. I fifgured I would maybe change the injectors to 550c and call it the day. Opinions? Why? Anyone ever used this company?

Where is a better distrubutor online that I can check? Preferrably someone who has used them on this website and can direct me to an individual to talk to specifically?

I looked at JDM-online.com. They offered pretty decent prcies.
Will the cruise control work with OEM original 400 cable with this swap? Also the speedometer cable, or will have to by a camry cable? Sorry for the questions, but getting the partslist together more.

I was thinking about doing this swap to my 400. But after reading how much you need I think ill start with a sc300 instead.

How much stuff do you need?
for a cleaner look you need sc300 radiator.
for your RPM to be accurate you need sc300 cluster.
You want ac you sc300 ac line or have a shop crimp the lines for you.
You already have the sc400 diff on your car that's a +.
that's all i can think of, the mount your will have to replace regardless if you have an sc300 or sc400 because they are already done on these cars.

The main thing is the harness if you can get that taken care of by Tweak, it's just like you have an SC300 everything will pnp.

Will the SC300 radiator bolt right into place in conjuction with the 400? Any modding required or different top brackets used? I believe the fan shroud between the two are different, so we cant use the 400 on the 300, correct?

the sc300 radiator drops right in use the same bracket on the top and same bushings on the bottom.

the fan shroud is different.

the sc400 uses a hydrolic fan, and yes it different from the sc300. the sc300 uses a clutch fan driven by the water pump.

Next question.. What size intercooler for maximium or sufficient cooling that will fit behind the stock bumper? How do you mount, or are all different? Does it really matter on the inlet and outlet size piping, 3" or 4"? Why?
I understand that cooling is very important, but how do you justify the correct size? I am keeping the stock twins for now and wanting to see if this will make me very happy. I am looking around 400-450 with stock twins and 550 injectors. I understand that the JDM motors only come with 440 injectors. These will have to bought seperate.

Some will say ebay , ebay will work up to 800 rwhp ? will i use an ebay intercooler for 800rwhp? NO
it won't be efficient , i just ordered a 1400rwhp Intercooler 4.5" Core with 3"end tanks on it ( it was proven it hold 1400rwhp on Supras no problem) and keeps the intake temp down.
I didnt wanna keep upgrading so i decided to upgrade once for all.

Some of them comes premade for the SC it bolts right up, there is a Thread on here about interccoler install and how how the other guys routed their pipings.

ok so 550cc injectors and you will need a resistor box because the usdm 550cc are low impedance and jdm 440 are high impedance.
You can get a tT resistor box or just get on from a honda accord V6 or Acura legend since you will have 6 injectors.
Get a fuel bypass damper if you shooting for 400-450rwhp you can get it from DM.
Fuel pump get a denso pump it's quiet and reliable and will make over 500rwhp on pump gas.

Will search for the thread on the route for intercooler piping. Thanks for answering my questions and be so quick to do so. I will try and locate a tt pump and the resistor that you have stated.

Honestly, I'd probably just go with the generic CX-Racing intercooler on Ebay to complete the swap. It'll be a couple hundred well spent and will be overly sufficient for most people's needs.

However, I would have to agree with Quicksc4 as well. If you have the money to do it right, do it right.

The big advantage of starting with an SC300 is you can convert a front sump aristo engine to fit. You can part out the 2jz-ge once you are done. Starting with a SC300 will save you money no if ands or butts.

2jz has 3". 450 hp is too dangerous on stock twins.

Fwiw I made 612whp and went 10's in my supra with a china bay intercooler which was pump gas and surely would have made mid 700's on c16 race gas or e-85.
