Believe me, I would love to. New York is not where I want to live. That's why I would only be there a year or two.

Oklahoma has grown on me a lot the last 6 years. Okc and Dallas will always be my home!

In all honesty, if he didn't do any work to the car i wouldn't be mad, if he put 40k miles on it though, that'd be another story hah.

So yes, there would be limitations, 10k miles a year, any damage would obviously be his expense. Keep up with maintenance.. Make sure he understands this too and not just us on CL....LOL

I take it nobody feels like I would be asking too much? Lol
Well look at it this way since you seem to already have a financial past with your friend as well..

Cheap lease $200x24 months = $4800
Cheap storage $100x 24months = $2400 + $200-300 of maintaince when it comes out of storage...we'll say$2800 total

$2000 difference in favor for your friend if you let him drive the car, assuming he takes decent care of it and drives within a reasonable amount of miles...

asking for his labor/time for $2000 is more than fair, since thats what you'll be more or less spending if you took it to some Joe down the street.

again it all seems fair as long as both of you are on the same page, which is seems you already are
