i just bought a performance chip for my 93 sc300 with the 2jz. at maf there is a 5 wire plug, which 2 of these do i hook into with the chip. it says it has to be wired to maf. thanx for any help

probably bought it from Summit in the "domestic" section because the car is from the US

our cars aren't ford turbo diesels...you can't just add a chip and get 30hp

I guarantee he bought a resistor "chip", it's supposed to make the car give more fuel or something.... Idk but it wont do anything but give you problems, return it. I've seen these on eBay claiming they give you 15hp... people are crooks man I tell ya.

these resistors affect the air temp readings to give you more "performance". basically tells the ecu the air is colder than it is, so it ups the timing and fuel.
you are better off letting your engine know the real temperature of the air coming into it if you live anywhere but alaska. Once you get some knock on a hot day the ecu will pull that timing back out.
junk it and get a cold air intake/BFI, that will actually make the air colder instead of just telling the ecu it is.
