climate control rebuild

Hi guys I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix the climate control screen? I know everyone has come across a climate control that has "bleed out" "blacked out" screen. I assume I can take my climate control apart and there are a few bulb in it that are burnt out thats why it wont light up? Would I also need to replace the glass screen or just be able to swap those burnt out bulbs for new bulbs or even LEDs? please let me know any info you got(bulb size, glass piece, procedure operations) thanks guys!

the screen takes a lot of desoldering =\

I figured that =/ can u re-use the screen though when you swap the bulbs out? or is it going to be a total mess to have to make the screen clean cut again to fit once you get it and all the old solder removed?

If the screen is bleeding, then you have to replace that, And yeah, It's going to take alot of soldering to complete...The 3 bulbs behind the LCD screen are a slightly different story, They're fairly easy to replace, but it takes soldering skills as well and you have to re-use the plastic frames that the bulbs are housed on...and don't forget to replace those rubber caps back onto the head of the bulbs when you replace them.

The part that sucks is that the bulbs you get from Radio Shack (see my post https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...t-voltage.html for bulb #) are 12 volt, and the circuit board only provides 8ish volts to the bulbs, so they end up dim, read the rest of my post on how to fix that.

There is a tutorial. You can find the LCDs on ebay.
