Well to be honest i don't like the 97 front bumpers.. I like the original 92-94 front end the most... I guess it has grown on me.. I priced a new front lip today online from Carson Toyota and it was over $500 bucks for a piece of plastic... WTF? Is it made out of 24 k gold inside it?
Bump from the past, I can't find the SEM GMC black. I want to do the seats in my GS and have already done the rear seat backs and the armrest in Landau Black. Wanted to know before I go the same route on the seats if the GMC black would be more durable on the leather.

To answer your question it will be flexible and durable. Call OReilly auto parts. They can order any color you choose. They might even have the paint behind the counter.
OReilly auto parts local to me did not have it. The sales associate did say that people have been asking for it though.
Summit racing sells the landau black. They have a store here in GA so it's next day if I need it. Looks like i'll use the Landau.

Updates have been..... I open the door and still enjoy my painted SEM interior. LOL
On a serious note, it has been holding up very well. I have not had to respray once inch of it, with the exception of the driver side lumbar seat area. Most used part when sliding in the seat. I have done this about 3-6 months. It still looks good.
Check out the link in my signature, if you want to see when I did Jay's interior the same way.

Those pictures aren't the best for some reason. If you want some from today, just ask. I will pull the car out and take some better, more quality ones.
Was waiting for an update a few years down the road. This certainly makes the idea tempting. Perhaps I'll do a mix of SEM and OEM black pieces..
edit: also, the pics in the other thread you did arent working. not sure if its just my work computer though.

I understand most of what you said I just want to know which process and product was used for leather aka the seats and which we're used for other things? I'm really interested in making my car black on black

Sorry for bumping this years later but when you say prep bad adhesive promoter, prep meaning what exactly ? I understand cleaning it dust free but which do you sand and which not? I'm sure you don't sand the leather but how about the other surfaces and how did you prep the leather, just by cleaning it ? And did you apply the adhesive promoter to everything or just leather ?

When I say use the adhesive promotor, you can use this to help the actual paint to adhere to the piece you are spraying. You can use this for leather and/or all the plastic/vinyl pieces. I used this for some of the pieces, some of them, I didn't, only because I ran out. Even w/o using this, my interior still looks like these pictured, till this day. I have touched up the driver seat, of where the actual leather cracks and bends of me getting in and out of it. Overall, it still looks like new. I have never regretted using this stuff. I would recommend using a green scouring pad to roughen and then allow to dry or blow with compressed air to help speed up the process, even the leather. It will not hurt it. I also used a mild degreaser mixed 50/50 to help clean, but many have used 409. Overall use the promotor on all the pieces, if you have/buy enough. After you apply the paint, do not put any leather conditioner on it, just use a ild soap and water to clean. I hope this cleared some things/questions up for you.
