Default Interior freshening project

I am in the midst of getting the tan interior of my 1994 SC400 freshened.

The car is currently all stock and is very clean but the driver's side seat the leather has split in two places on the upper panel near the door. I am having all of the seats (front and back) rewrapped along with the door bolsters and the center console as well. The seats will be done with the perforated center sections like the 99+ seats. The work is going to be done by Markel's on Robertson in LA (www.markelauto.com). They do the warranty work for Lexus of Beverly Hills.

I only really "needed" to rewrap the driver's side, but after 17 years of use, it seemed that it would be best to just go whole hog and get it all done. This way all of the leather will match and as it continues to age it will uniformly.

I have already had them recondition my steering wheel. It was cleaned and re-dyed the factory color. It has turned out very nicely.

I did not get any shots of the wheel before the reconditioning was done, but I will take some shots later today that will include the current state of the seats so once it is all complete I can post the after shots as well.

I am considering getting a wood dash kit installed.

I have done some searching to review the photos of wood kits that have been been installed and posted, but I was hoping that there might be some of you that had not posted that might be willing to give me a little advice about how to move forward. I have not completely decided that this is the way I am am going to go (dash kit), but I am leaning that way. I only wont to do this if the dash kit has the same look as the OEM wood that is already in these cars.

Thanks in advance for your help and I will put of the photos later.

Most people on here usually paint the woodgrain to a different pattern or color, or just wrap it in some sort of carbon fiber. I have only seen a few that has bought a woodgrain kit. Everyone seems to agree that its out dated and needs to be done away with completely. JMO

I like charcoal woodgrain personally on black interior, Or cherry woodgrain. But yes it is quite dated, elegant, but dated.
