Default New to Lexus

Just thought I'd drop in and say hi to everybody. New to Lexus but not new to cars. Just purchased a 1992 SC400 with 79K on it. From what I can tell it has all the options including the Nakamichi sound sys and trac control. Pear white with tan interior. Only issue is the remote door opener. When I press the button on the key it locks the door and keeps making a clicking sound that it makes when it locks. If I hit the button on the key it will stop but still stays locked. Any ideas from the experts on what is causing that?

Brett

92 with 79k, that's pretty low miles. I wonder if the original timing belt is in that thing? If so, change that out. Your little avatar picture shows a white SC with aftermarket wheels I think. Post some pics when you get some time. Honestly, I don't know jack about the keys and just open and lock the doors the old fashion way.

+1 on the timing belt service! What happens when you lock / unlock from the buttons inside the car? Sounds like a bad actuator trying to complete a lock / unlock cycle, need more info.

Thanks guys and I will post some pics in the next day or two. Has some rediculous wheels on it that were put on by the original owner. The are Helo HE888's with new Dunlop 245/35/20's on it. They looked great to the original 55 yr old owner from South Florida but are a little to bling for my taste. Currently looking for wheels in the Clearwater Fl area. The car in my avitar is the actual car. Oh what the heck. I'll go ahead and post a pic now with the bling wheels just incase you know somebody who wants to buy them.

Yes they are 350Z wheels. Just need to replace the Nissan centercaps with some new Lexus caps.

Very Clean... Wheel swap was a nice upgrade. Lots of good threads on exhaust system upgrades.

Enjoy the V8!

Thanks

Just sold my 600 rwhp Z28 so there was no way I was going down to a 6 for a daily driver.
