when the fmz3ayy1 is in it makes the supension real tight. thats what i men with feel road more. any way i knew i wasnt crazy look at this.

http://www.celicasupra.com/forums/ar...p/t-56094.html

i just scan through it an i think fmz3ayy1 is rated at 190hp compared to fmz3ayy2 rated at 155-160hp this is maybe reason for better performance.

what u guys think.

will some one else try it because im telling u theres def a huge diff.

7mgte and 1uz sensors are the same. I believe the 2jzgte has the same sensor, too but haven't worked on one to be sure.
Hey Ben yes the actual sensor is the same but like you said the housing on the 1uz is larger.

I still don't understand how the mass air flow sensor can have any adjustment over the suspension.

I was reluctant to point anything out, since I don't know exactly what suspension you have, but if it's stock or just on springs/shocks or coil overs, the MAF has literally nothing to do with the suspension.

I was considering that maybe you could have had a suspension that would adjust dampening or height based on speed, but I'm guessing no.

The suspension change is either a placebo effect, or the bumps you're hitting while driving as if you just tossed a bigger turbo on your car instead of a new MAF.

Man you all love making people feel stupid ... the guy probably meant his car feels more responsive ... If I remember correctly all he wanted was some insight as to why his car would be feeling like an entirely different car when all he did was swap out his MAF. There is no need to bash on how he chose to describe the performance of his car.

I'm not trying to be a **** but these forums are to help everyone out and small questions should be answered in a respectful way and not discourage anyone from asking any more questions in the future.

what maf is the one you swapped in actually from?? dont recognize all these part numbers.
if it larger in diameter it will lean it out some and you will feel like it is more responsive cause the c400 runs rich normally.

the adjustment sounds more like it. like it sits on top of the wheel more or something. feels like your in power mode when in normal like tires really gripping the road.
an the bashing i could care less about cuz face to face there prob silent as a mouse.

You should try switching to MAP it makes the handling even tighter.
