Default Mildly interesting conversation.

So no that this is important I just felt like making some CL convo. Today a guy called me wanting to buy the 1995 SC300 ECU I had for sale and when he arrived to buy it he went on a rant about how much he hates his SC and why. His rant started off with how his spoiler flew off the car and then took a turn to how it is not luxurious at all. At this point I was already laughing. Then he started complaining about how much work he has to do to get it to make 800hp. He whined about a bunch of other things and then as he was walking away he said "Good luck with your piece of ****, im selling mine and going back to a 240." I am sorry but if you drove a 240 how do you not find a Sc to be luxurious?

He also went on to mention half of his problems with his SC came with the car when he bought it. To me that's like kissing someone with the flu, you are kind of asking for it..

I've spoke with a few 240 owners who switched to SC's then switched back. I guess it's just the young drift kid inside or something. Everyone has the right to their opinion, but to bash your own luxury coupe vehicle and compare it to a mid-class vehicle is kind of immature if you ask me. I'm 30+ years old...and I couldn't see myself driving a Nissan 240, civic, etc.

im with you tabaka

i havent yet hit 30 but im not far off and i would rather not drive hondas or tuner cars if i have a choice.

sc is luxury and style with the ability to be very fast if you want to go that route----to me its a perfect combo.

my ideal car is the ls430

Shoot I'm not even 21 yet and I really can care less about any honda or 240 as a matter of fact i can't stand them (the NSX is an exception), I bash on my bro-in-law's integra all the time lol. IMO the SC is more refine, tasteful, and has way more potential to gain HP plus it is just way more luxurious!

SC>Geo>240>Hondas

This is what we call a Ricer. His car does not make 800hp and he will never own a car that does, but he will tell people all about how he added a 300 shot of NOS just to spool his monster turbo to make his car run 6's in the 1/4 mile, when in fact it is stock sans a Fart can and stupid carbon fiber wing that blocks his rearview mirror.

haha i've had somewhat the same situation where someone compared my car to their 2002 Acura TSX and how their overpriced Accord, i mean TSX was everything better than the SC. Too bad i shut him down fairly quick. Damn Honda boys, mad because Honda stands for Hold On Not Done Accelerating. lol

yup, me too. I just switched from my ITR swapped 4 door ek to an sc. I've never had so many electronics and automated devices in a car before. =)

this is sad but true.. i actually still own my EK/ex civic. i just added the sc to the collection as my toy. the civic is and always will be the stock engine grocery getter. it just SUCKS having to drive it after stepping out of the sc lol. honestly i'd get rid of the honda but i just did its FIRST full tune-up at 180k miles.. and its good to go another ten years. i mean like 2 years ago it had been completely submerged underwater and STILL no problems and nothing needed to be repaired with the exception of a fluid flush and a valve cover gasket a year later ($170 total). it still runs perfectly quick(for 3 seconds) and smooth.. not to mention ive made it from downtown miami all the way to gainesville on A SINGLE yet topped off full tank (close to 400 miles). they are good cars IF YOU KNOW how to maintain them.
but i know my boundaries as far as QUALITY and LUXURY..
my SC300 NA-T>any honda>anything else lol

i have owned two hondas and yes they are good reliable cars dont get me wrong.

i think people just have a problem with the 'honda' mentality.

like u would never see me modify a honda --they are just good dd's for work or winter cars.

i think the civic is one of the most reliable cars out there if im not mistaken.
