Default Cusco strut bar question

Hey guys,

I've lost the bolt and nuts that go through the strut mounts and bar to hold it all as one...question 1.) Do you think its ok if I just go to home depot and get a double side threaded fitting bolt with matching buts? 2.) Do you know where to get an original replacement if option 1 isn't safe? Thanks.

I don't think it would matter too much, but if you are really concerned get a high-grade bolt. Option one, even with the high-grade bolt will probably be cheaper than option 2.

Also, I don't think strut bars add a huge benefit to the handling. I have one myself and don't notice much. Maybe they are just more efficient at high speed cornering than anything else.

actually i kinda laugh at all the people that get the strut bars on the sc/soarer bc our cars have a A arm double wishbone set up and doesn't really do anything for the car... looks nice depending on the car tho.

I have a strut bar and I know for a fact it does make a noticeable difference.

shouldn't matter too much, u want something lightweight.... as long as u get either locking washers with nuts or locking nuts. if u want function then that should be enough. if u want car show bling then u prolly want cusco replacements.

Yeah saving money is a good thing right now.

Luckily my car came with it...and there is a very noticeable difference when you remove it.

Yeah I'll probably get locking washers with nuts although I seem to recall the original piece being a locking nut.
