Default Tilt motor problems

My steering will will only go in to the dash or come out. Would I have to change the whole steering column or just the motor and how would I do it?

Yes, you will need to replace the whole motor. Get a new 1JZVVTI from ebay for like $1000 bucks. Make sure it comes with out an ECU and a cut wire harness.

jk Seriously, there is a thread called DIY. It's a sticky on this forum and has your answer. Do a little research and you'll find it.

If i'm understanding you correctly the telescopic function works but the tilt doesn't? Well if this is the case and you hear any kind of movement from the tilt maybe a click or anything, then chances are the gear is stuck and you might want to try this:https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...ng-repair.html
Hope this helps, it helped me out and is very easy and cheap to execute. If it doesn't then you know You'll have to replace that portion or the whole thing. Theres a lot of DIY's on the main page just so you know.
