Hermaosa,
I don't want to jump the gun here, but it will probably be on Sept. 14h in Fremont.
I hope to make an official announcement this weekend once I confirm availability.
I'll ask for a roll call once the meet is officially announced.

Doh! Labor Day would be the worst. I have some major work to do that weekend. Enough work that if I bailed out it would be an RGE (resume generating event) not to mention I am the project lead.

You guy's are giving me a heart attack with these Holidays and Fridays ! !
The last thing I would want to do is pick a meet on one of those days.
SC400onDubs,
please tell me you are looking at a 2001 calandar?
Now that I am so paranoid, I'm headed to the meet site tomorrow to make sure they aren't having some big event happening in the park on the 14th, like an International Girl Scout Convention or something.
Once I clear this date, you'll see an official announcement.

So...
We need everyone to either pitch in for some goodies .
I am thinking 1/2 lb chicken, 2/3 pound beef, one hotdog, buns, etc. per person.
If we have 30 people then:
15lbs chicken $75
20lbs hamburger meet $40
30 hot dogs $6
60 hamburger buns $20
30 hot dog buns $10
45 plates $7.50
one bag napkins $5
forks, knives $10
one large ketshup $4
one large mustard $3
three heads of lettuce $3
cheese $10
8 large tomatoes $6
one squeeze mayo $3
some sauces, spices, etc. $20
charcoal ~30 pounds $12
About $8 each (considering misc expenses)
Beer is BYO and would probably depend on park rules.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We could go all out and I could pick up some baby back ribs and prebake them and finish them off on the grill. This would be more money but would be tastier.

If we have 30 people then:
45lbs baby back ribs $180
10lbs hamburger meet $20
30 hamburger buns $10
45 plates $7.50
one bag napkins $5
forks, knives $10
one ketshup $4
one mustard $3
three heads of lettuce $3

About $10.50 each (considering misc expenses)

Thanks for your input guys.
I've got some stuff lined up that I'm working on with Ethan and the "meet committee".
Rest assured that these things are in the works, but first things first.
We are on track to finalize location and date and will make a formal announcement this Sunday.
Once we get that squared away, we will be asking for volunteers to help out with food, registration, parking, etc.
Hermosa,
I appreciate your pro-activeness. If you shoot me a PM of your e-mail address, I'll copy you on the distribution list of meet activities that we are currently working on. Lots of logistics to manage and priorities to set.
I would appreciate any input you have to offer.
