Ive got 97 sc 300 engine finaly died looking for stock engine to swap out any ideas

 

What happened to the engine? Is it rebuildable and are you planning to do the labor yourself?

 

I'm on the same boat as you. One of the gaskets is leaking, most likely head gasket and to replace it myself would take days. Not worth it to take it to the dealer because used engines are much cheap. Maybe it's time for a 1j. I'm doing a ton of research and it seems pretty straight forward. Extend harness, intercooler, and engine mounts?

 

I might be looking to get rid of it.
