How do you remove the cluster?
Hey guy's I need to send my cluster in to get repaired I was wondering if I have to remove the whole dash or can I just take the cluster out seperateley? Pixs... info... anything would help! thanks
Are you going to be driving the car while the cluster is going to be repaired? Just to give you the heads up, your airbag light will be ON if you turn the key on or drive the car without the cluster.
Thats my thoughts exactly.
Just lower the steering wheel all the way out and down.
Place a rag over the plastic cover, to keep it from getting scratched.
Remove the 2 top black covers that cover the 2 screws. Use a small screwdriver or razor blade.
Remove those two screws. Use a magnetic one. Trust me
Pull up and out on the bottom trim piece, where the odo and trip meter is. ZUnplug two plugs.
Remove the four screws that holds the cluster in.
Pull out on the cluster, remove the three plugs in the rear. and wolla, in your hands. The plugs are a major pain in the butt, just letting you know.
Good luck. Welcome to CL!
