right now your tach is off about 1k rpm.

I am thinking finding an sc300 cluster will be the easiest way, but ........
quick question, my tach is off also after my GTE swap into a SC400. obviously the mod wont work, but i do notice that the tach is not always off 1k rpm. my idle is pretty close to being right. at 3k rpm on my AEM it shows 4100 rpm on my tach, and at 5k rpm on the AEM it shows 6500 rpm on my tach. has anyone else not had a linear rpm error on their tach?

I know for my SC300 it was a simple as just jumping the r109 resistor on the cluster.....Im not sure about about sc400 though

Have you considered that your tach may not be working correctly.....i.e the motor may be going bad

Ever since I did the swap my MPH gauge stopped working....I have tried multiple things but at this point im looking into custom speedhut gauge set....

F the factory cluster.....they are garbage

i think i might just get a racepack and go that route. it will plug right into my AEM V2 and you can choose which outputs you want to view

The 1UZ give the tach signal as if the car were a 4 cylinder. MK3 guys can get around this by using a tach driver from an 86-89 Celica for their swap.

Not so much for the SC400 though. You will need to source the aforementioned tach adapter.

im thinking the same about going custom, its not that hard to do really. I was looking at speedhut gauge set but I need one that shows 200mph lol

SC400 reads a 4 cylinder signal (since there are two ignitors). With that being said, it should read HIGHER than what you actually are revving at.

So yeah, get a SC300 cluster and jump it.
