Default Rear main seal help!

anyone in GA can help me with a rear main seal? not looking to pay 700 like the dealership wants! car dumps oil and i can smell it when driving unless i turn the circulate button on haha

it is pretty easy since the car is a rwd. if you have no clue what you are doing i would take it to a shop, you could probably find someone in need of work to do it for 400-500 since it should only be a 3hr job if you know what you are doing.

Yeah, it's actually a fairly easy job. Find a local mechanic to do it.

Pulling a 400 trans without a lift is not fun lol, i did it a couple of times but will never do it again.
If you don't have access to a lift, don't do it on the floor bro it's Pita.
Take it to someone with a lift and make sure they don't remove the TQ from the trans while pulling the trans, because after the reinstall it will be leaking trans fluid all over the place,You will need to replace the from seal.

i just did 1 of these last week in my shop with a 4runner bro is not fun at all. unless u have a lift as stated and proper tools. i would find some 1 that has access to a lift or a mechanic looking for side work.

if they quoted u 700 thats sounds bout right
