Someone on ebay in Canada smackin' their lips about something like they can do better so let me just reach into the pile of "you've never seen this before" and throw out something I've been playing with.
Back in 2005 I said this type of mod would take for-ev-er and I gave up trying to find a way to convert one in less than 4 days of solid work. I ended up having some time over the holidays to get in the lab and play around some. I got riled up off some kid on ebay that barely speaks english in canada talking about how he's the man so I decided I'd sit down in the lab for a few days and just bling-the-hell-out a radio just to showcase what is possible and set a new standard. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures. It's the only one ever built and yes it still takes days of work..... UHG.
Sure is purdy though.
...........and the damn dimmer WORKS.

Hilarious Brian!! I use that phrase every so often to joke with my boy when he is upset about something ...good to see that your back at it with these labor intensive projects that you call "one-offs", don't think that if i still had that stock radio that you wouldn't be doing this project and more for your boy!! I love the way that radio came out..It's very refreshing to see you come out of the woodwork to address "competition"...dust off the throne and keep em in their place
