Ill be taking alot of pics when all this stuff goes on, The Car is here But Im stuck being a range Safty all week so hopfully I can get it Picked up next week, Im currently awaiting the arrival of my house hold stuff they got 1 our left before they are no shows.... Be happening alot to people in this area from what I hear.
I picked my Sc up today It was Dirty as hell but after washing her she was looking good, I think some ethonol setaled in on my injectors was kinda sputtering a bit but seems to be good now with 113 Octane german Super Plus =D instalation of Suspenchion and Brakes starts tomorrow but will only have 3 hours if I can get there at 17:00 so maybe just the Coilovers then brakes on friday.
So I installed the Coilovers today Ill post some pics soon with the installation tips that I ran into while doing it.... tomorrow after work im gonna do the Brakes but nothing to speacil just drilled sloted rotors and and some new pads.
So Like I said I installed the D2 Coilovers and the Brakes, The Coilovers are Verry easy to install, how over Getting the stock equipment out is another story If you were To drop the Lower Ball joint on the controll arms you could get them out with As little fustration as messing up a perfectly good ball joint, how ever if you want to replace those anyways while your there Go ahead and do that.
I how ever Used a lard Pry-Bar got under neath the bottom mount of the Strut and forced it back out of its mount and then droped the Strut and Spring assembly out out there with a bit of Elbow Greese
The Rear ones are Dirt simple just unbolt everything might have to use a large screw driver or compress the spring a bit but the drop right out for the most part.
The D2 equipment Slides right into place no problem Because its much shorter
The Brakes are As simple as it Gets as well Might have to take a Rawhide mallat to the rotars if they have been seated for a while, simple Basic Brake Job. (will be installing D2 6 pistion kit sometime shortly will do a write up when it happens.)
The D2 Coilovers are 32 way adjustment for dampening and completly adjustable form Stock ride height to Layin Fame Basicly. I have the Coils set on 18 clicks form 1-32 they ride really comfurtable for coilovers So far havent had negatives about them.
BTW the pics of the car on grounds are before the Coils installed, It was dark out when i finish soo Ill get some of how low it sits now, Maybe tomorrow
