So today I decided to swap from my 99 Spoiler to the 92-96 style spoiler and change my trunk shocks.... I ended up snapping a bolt on one side and not being able to put on the truck shocks because I am either to weak or just really stupid....

Do you need to modify the third brake light harness in any way to make the earlier style middle brake light function?

No, if anything the connection from the actual light to the harness. My spoiler dosent have a light at the moment so I cant confirm. But I had one previously and it had a connection just like the newer style.

so switching from a 97+ trunk with new style spoiler to a 92-96 trunk with older spoiler is a plug and play ordeal? I always thought the harness for the brake lights needed modification. Thats good to know.

Yup other than the actual holes for the spoiler itself it should be that easy

I will try to source and passenger side one first and start there. I dont think anyone has done it before so it should be a first.
Kevin, I don't think anyone has done it yet. Finding the seats in mint condition and the color one wants can be challenging. Keep us posted as to your progress. BTW, I found and recently purchased a set of clean black 430 seats, so I will soon know what it takes to fit them and get them electronically functioning properly in a SC400.

I will also see how they look in the car...

Nice Tanabe's, BTW...

Thanks Ryan, yes finding the color could be an issue. Lucky for me I want either the all black or the saddle leather color ones. There always seem to be a set for sale on ebay in those colors so we'll see. Please keep me posted on your progress if u get to it before I do, I hope to have a set as a Christmas gift to myself .

Thanks Kevin. The seats are shipping to me now, and I expect them to arrive this week. I will keep you posted.

Some of the things I did today .....

Installed my Koyo rad with slim fans.

Trans cooler

Finished product

Also put in this new trans mount.

it's incredible how poorly the ride quality is affected by this being worn out.
