Can someone explain exactly how to paint, besides using the term practice. I am wanting to know how everyone paints, like start at the top with a back and forth motion, how much to pull the trigger and when not to pull the trigger, etc. Does anyone on here care to share how they do it? Laslty, when do you when its safe to wetsand it to remove the fine line stuff in the clear coat? How many coats of clear coat? Why? These are the questions that I would like to know. Thanks.

How much is enough air? I just bought me a Husky 25 gallon upright one, with max pressure being 140 psi. I have heard that it doesnt need to run all the time when spraying.

Looks very nice did you have trouble laying the clear down on the 97 bumpers? I heard its a little tricky and also did you keep the pearl? I'm not sure of doing artic white or the the new pearl the ford escapes come with due to the cost of pearl its so expensive plus more time to shoot get the color even.

I will try my best to give this a shot, but everything you asked you can find the answers to somewhere online. So first off, search and search and do your research. Start at the top of the vehicle and work your way down, dont pull the trigger with the gun facing directly on the paint as it might sputter paint and come out blotchy. Make a quick but smooth pass and go past the edge or your stopping point, then release the trigger. And for your coats of clear and wet sanding, it will depend on the paint and the look you are looking for. On the 1966 mustang we just painted, I believe the car has 8 coats of clear, we sprayed so many coats of clears so we could "bury" the stripes so it feeled smooth when you would run your hand across the paint. So it all depends on what you want or are looking for. Good luck with whatever you deicde to do.

WATCH the WEATHER!!!!!!! It's cold this time of year. Cold weather=bad spray pattern. Rent a booth that's climate controlled.
