Thank you guys for all the useful information here, it help me with the purchase of my car. I have a 1993 lexus sc 400 from the driver side I can neither roll down the driver or the passenger side windows. The door lock works from that switch. From the passenger side window I can operate the window fine and lock the doors. The mirror control also works from the switch. I have another switch that I tried but with the same result. What could it be?

 

Look for broken/damaged wiring where the harness passes from the body into the doors.

Ya check those harnesses.. and check all the connections my window didnt open too but i just blew off the dust and started working fine.
