I do dont even know where to begin. There are now 6 mutilated 1uz manifolds in the dumpster at my shop and my brain is about to explode. Ok, first of all, why the hell are there turbo manifolds galore for the 2uz and not for the 1uz? are you effing serious? and no, the 2uz manifold wont line up with the 1uz, Ive tried. So Ive spent all last weekend and all this week trying to put a single turbo in my sc400 and not only am I nowhere, Im pretty sure I f?cked my car up. I know this forum is more for showing off than troubleshooting (not a bad thing) but I could really use some help on this.
My next idea is to (for lack of better words) splice the turbo in between the cat and the OEM manifold. Is this genius or stupid?
Im seriously gonna lose my mind if I cant get this figured out before the end of this weekend.
Oh and p.s. It rained today in Denver... Its December, wtf?

What web site are looking @ that has 2uz turbo manifolds galore? Cause im not aware of this at all. Its funny you bring this up cause for the last couple of days ive been thinking about this. Also thought about a rear/mid turbo setup at the Y pipe. but i need to look @ a picture right now for clearance.

Thats just one site that popped up on google, here in Denver there's 4 shops I know of that have them in stock
It will be done. I have the everything ready to go... except the manifold. As a matter of fact, it would have been done yesterday if it werent for this stupid manifold. I suddenly have an extreme jealous hatred towards all you JZ jerk faces. I dont ever want to hear another FI related complaint from anyone with a JZ motor again! lol

..this maybe laggy im not sure but..most v8 kits ive seen are rear mount turbo setups..maybe something to consider..plumbing would be long given you the lag but something you may want to research?

Dude, this is going to be the most cheap ***, low rent, ghetto rigged turbo youll ever see. At the very most Im hoping to achieve 40hp maybe 50 if Im lucky but I dont want to reveal too much until Im done. Im not replacing the injectors, and Im hoping that it will run with the oem ecu. Im pretty much doing this because of a bet. The turbo and intercooler were givin to me for free, then when I said "I wonder if I can put this in my lex" my friends bet me I couldnt, so now Im on a quest to prove them wrong. I know this sounds like a recipe for disaster but I think I can pull it off.
